Bellaire Historical Society Records
The records document the organization and operations of the Bellaire Historical Society, which includes the city of Bellaire and the southwest portion of Houston. Photographs and memorabilia are among the records.
Berman Family papers
The collection includes one box of correspondence; certificates of military service, public school attendance, marriage, and training; news clippings and part of a newsletter; a conference program; genealogy materials; and numerous photographs of family, friends, and events which document the history and activities of members of the Berman family from 1925 to 1989.
Bob Rubin Papers
The Bob Rubin collection provides a glimpse into the life of a young Jewish man growing up within the Houston communities of his school system and synagogue in the 1950s and 60s. Bob Rubin’s dedication to his studies and wider community is well-documented in the collection materials, which range from report cards and yearbooks to photographs and graduation certificates.
Butler Family Papers
One box of programs, news clippings, event materials, and family history materials, including a digitized memoir and news clippings, document the Butler family between 1924 to 1987.
Cain Project in Engineering and Professional Communication Collection
The collection consists of materials that represent what the Cain Project was, from proposals to teaching materials, reports, photographs, and assessments. It also includes records relating to University-wide communication requirements during the period of the Cain Project (1998-2008).
Capitalism and Convict Leasing in the American South: a Symposium
This symposium was hosted at Rice University on April 4, 2019, focused on capitalism and the convict leasing system in the American South. The collection consists of the videorecordings of the symposium sessions, as well as a PDF copy of the event program, all of which are online at https://scholarship.rice.edu/handle/1911/108818.
Caplan / Wilk Family Papers
One box containing Jewish Community Center materials, a BBG booklet, and a memoir by Lena Zellah Dow Caplan document some of the history of, and activities participated in by, the Caplan / Wilk families.
Card G. Elliott, Jr. Family collection
Letters, diaries, scrapbooks, and notebooks belonging to various members of the Elliott family, dating from 1830-1951. The majority of the collection's letters are from the early 20th-century, though some date from the U.S. Civil War (describing life in Mississippi). Other materials describe farm life in Kansas, railroad business, attendance at Rice Institute, and the family life of the Elliotts.
Carl Cunningham papers
The collection consists mainly of programs for which Carl Cunningham wrote commentary. The materials are in good condition, and range in date from 1965 to 2017.
Carolyn Litowich (BBG) Papers
The collection contains one box of convention materials, newsletters, directories, and event materials collected by Carolyn Litowich during her time as a member of B'nai B'rith Youth Organiztion/B'nai B'rith Girls in the 1950's.
