Abstract

This collection is made up of eight boxes containing books, bulletins, correspondence, event materials, financial records, flyers, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, photographs, plaques, programs, scrapbooks, videos, and yearbooks from United Orthodox Synagogues spanning from 1935 to 2023.

The collection consists of a small amount of event materials, primariily from Congregation Beth Yeshurun, and scrapbooks documenting the events and programs of Houston Hillel from 1975-2008, featuring photographs, event flyers, calendar, newsletters, news clippings, invitations, and other ephemera.

The collection consists of publications for a variety of purposes: student recruitment; fund-raising; periodic reporting, particularly to parents; and recording of community guidelines. Also included are student publications and an I. Weiner School yearbook. There are a few programs from student theater productions. Newsclippings and correspondence are also included.

Abstract The collection, spanning 1935-1947, consists of a photo album recording Max Herzog's service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Also included are a telegram informing him of his son's birth in the U.S. and photographs of the young child sent to Max by his wife. Information papers pertaining to discharge from the Army, as well as the discharge papers themselves are included. In addition, there is currency from several of the countries traveled through during Army service, including a U.S....
