11. Jewish community

The collection consists of four boxes containing family materials and synagogue/organization materials from Congregations Beth Israel, Emanu El and B'nail B'rith, including certificates, contracts, correspondence, school materials, reports, photographs, scrapbooks and memory books, and memorabilia spanning the years 1911 to 2015.

This collection consists of two boxes containing administrative records, cookbooks, correspondences, journals, memorabilia, photos, programs, and publications from Harry and Riva Schneider during their involvement in the United Orthodox Synagogues of Houston, United Orthodox Synagogues Men's Club, and the United Orthodox Synagogues Sisterhood, spanning 1975-2016.

This collection is made up of two boxes containing photographs, news clippings, memorabilia, financial documents, and event programs from Star Furniture, and an oral history conducted with Shirley Wolff Toomim and Ellen Toomim Robinson spanning the years 1925-2021.

Planning materials, board games, a scrapbook, press releases and other publicity materials document the activities undertaken by Estelle Panzer, Janis Odensky, and Judy Jordan between 1984 and 1989 to create the Tradition Jewish trivia board game. The collection also includes an oral history with Estelle Panzer and Janis Odensky conducted in 2019.

The collection consists of one box containing correspondence; books; event materials, including dance programs and wedding invitations; bulletins; newsletters and news clippings; a photograph; and a VHS cassette featuring an interview with 104 year old Lorraine Isaacs Hofeller regarding the 1900 Galveston storm. Materials in the collection range from 1919 to 2002.

Three boxes containing newspaper articles, Congregation Beth Yeshurun journals, Texas Jewish Historical Society Membership Directories, Robert M. Beren Academy anniversary journals, Holocaust Museum Houston journals, brochures, and memorabilia document some activities that Dr. Debra Bootin was involved in from 1995 to 2017.

A Pleasantville brochure, directories, photographs, memorabilia, and published materials document some activities that Terri Bamberger was involved in from 1951 to 2010.

One box of newspaper clippings, photographs, magazine articles, writings, correspondence, agendas, yearbooks, a musical score, and a Holocaust curriculum book documents the lives of members of the Wolf / Mazow family from 1935 to 2018.
