Biographical / Historical

Estelle Kestenberg was born in 1937 in Houston, Texas, to Louis and Frieda Miron Kestenberg. Estelle married Don Singer on August 6, 1958.

She matriculated at Rice Institute in 1955. While at Rice, she was a member of the Sarah Lane Literary Society, served as an officer with Hillel, and covered Society for The Thresher. She graduated from Rice Institute in 1959 with a BA in English.
