This collection is composed of papers and media relating to the DeLange Conferences held at Rice University. Rice University Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum records
This collection consists of materials related to the Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum on the campus of Rice University. Included are records of the inaugural plantings in 1999, news clips, meeting minutes, correspondence, planning information, and oral interviews on videotape, conducted by the Conservation History Association of Texas for the Texas Legacy Project, 2004. Also included is Charles Tapley’s presentation copy of Texas Wild Flowers by Eliza Johnston.
Rice University Intramural Sports records
The collection consists of records of intramural athletic activities at Rice University from when they were first organized in 1939 through 1995. Included are documents showing the sports offered, yearly numbers of participants, of annual winners in competitions, photographs of some of the teams, and newsclippings, primarily from the campus newspaper, the Thresher.
Sarah Lane Literary Society records
The Sarah Lane Literary Society (SLLS), founded in 1947, was named after Sarah Lane, a 1919 graduate who served as the dean of women, 1931-1950. It disbanded in 1965, but its alumnae stayed active through the 2000s. This record contains correspondence, ledgers, information about events, alumnae directories, alumnae newsletters, and scrapbooks.

Files present include candidate CVs, lists of potential candidates, an outline of the Vice Provost for Research search goals, and the selected candidate's offer letter and background check.
J.T. McCants research material for book entitled: Some Information Concerning the Rice Institute
This collection contains research materials, the original typescript, and photocopies of Some Information Concerning the Rice Institute, written by J.T. McCants in 1955. The text deals with the early history of the Rice Institute, describing its founder, the general plan, first buildings, formal opening, and the first academic year.
Fredericka Meiners' A History of Rice University research materials
The collection is made up primarily of materials created by Fredericka Meiners in writing her 1982 book A History of Rice University: The Institute Years, 1907-1963. It includes multiple draft copies with corrections and revisions. There are audio tapes of three interviews with transcriptions. There are also pre-publication responses to the text from readers including Ray Hoagland, who recommended particular changes in style and content.
