27. Texas and local history

This collection consists of the Jhin family’s personal and professional achievements in business and the Asian-American community of Houston. Formats include awards, photographs, certificates, books, and newsclippings.

Copies of annotated typewritten summaries of Eyes of Texas television episodes 1979-1993 and 2007-2009 as prepared by KPRC-TV, and copies of those episodes in DVD format, beginning Sept. 02, 1978.

These records mainly consist of news clippings and newsletters of the Houston Folklore and Music Society.

This collection includes records from collaborations with downtown entities developing Houston's city workings largely dating from the 1980s to the 2010s. Formats include but are not limited to meeting minutes, correspondence, photographs, financial documents, dvds, and news clippings.

This collection is made up of six boxes containing administrative materials, bulletins, correspondence, event materials, organization/committee materials, photographs, publications, and transcripts of TV broadcasts from Congregation Emanu El, spanning the years 1943-2022.

This collection contains the records of the Houston Blues Society.

Written in 1837 from Houston, Forrest writes at length to his wife about Houston, and the illness of their son; discusses the possible outbreak of war with Mexico; talks of the Texas Congress meeting. This four-page letter gives an early look at life in the Republic of Texas.

The collection includes 12 black and white photographs and one land abstract of title in West University Place with associated documents dated from 1924 to 1935.

This collection contains materials related to the music career of Mickey White and the Hemmer Ridge Mountain Boys.
