The memoranda, reports, proposals and correspondence generated by or for the Rice University Committee on Undergraduate Teaching.

The collection consists of the notes, correspondence, and minutes of the Committee on University Welfare, formed in 1961. It served as a grievance committee until 1971 when the committee disbanded and its functions were taken over by the newly organized Faculty Council and the University Council.

The Friends of Fondren Library Records contain meeting minutes, correspondence, membership information, printed invitations, newsclippings, lectures, budgets, photographs, typescripts, notes, and pamphlets regarding business and events held by the Friends from 1950 to 2021.

Records reflecting the official business of the Presidential Search Committee, 2002-2004, including documentation of student, faculty, and alumni input; nominations; candidate files; and white paper preparation. This search resulted in the hire of David Leebron as President of Rice University.

The collection consists of biographical sketches, invitations, news clippings, press releases and video clips relating to Nobel Laureates Robert Woodrow Wilson, Richard E. Smalley and Robert F. Curl.

This collection contains the project records from Fondren Library's renovation and expansion primarily from 1999 to mid-2000. The records of project coordination include architectural drawings, proposals, and documentary interviews. These records do not reflect the project's entire record. Records after mid-2000 are held by Facilities and Engineering's current project coordinator.

Collection of blueprints, correspondence, financial records, photographs and more relating to the design, maintenance and furnishings of the Cohen House Faculty Club. Also includes samples of dishes and linens used in the original dining room as well as materials related to the Cohen family.

In 1997, Rice University began a national search for a new dean for the Wiess School of Natural Sciences. This collection contains records related to that search, including lists of committee members, lists of candidates, correspondence, university news releases and other related records, such as the 1997 strategic plan for the Wiess School of Natural Sciences.
