Isaacs/Hofeller Family Papers
The collection consists of one box containing correspondence; books; event materials, including dance programs and wedding invitations; bulletins; newsletters and news clippings; a photograph; and a VHS cassette featuring an interview with 104 year old Lorraine Isaacs Hofeller regarding the 1900 Galveston storm. Materials in the collection range from 1919 to 2002.

The Isabella Gonzalez collection mainly consists of materials collected and created by Gonzalez during her time at Rice University. A large portion of the collection is photographs, contact sheets, and negatives.

Business and personal records of J. Russell Wait, Director of the Port of Houston from 1930-1947, offering a comprehensive history of the Port of Houston's construction, facilities, finances, clients and operations from 1931-1962. During this time, the Port of Houston grew from the nation's twelfth largest port to its third largest. Materials also relate to the Brazos River Harbor Navigation District, Houston Ship Channel maps, and scrapbooks on WWII and Japan.

James R. Sims papers, 1924-2002
The papers contain documents, photographs and printed material which document the career of James R. Sims, who taught civil engineering at Rice Institute (later Rice University) beginning in 1942 as an instructor, to becoming the Herman and George R. Brown Chair of Civil Engineering until his retirement in 1987. He then served as the Herman and George R. Brown Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering from 1987 until his death in 2009.
