Francis Loewenheim papers
This is a collection of the papers of Francis Loewenheim, who taught history at Rice University from 1940s to 1996. The papers contain family correspondence, class notes, drafts and manuscripts for his writings. There are numerous family photographs and also photographs of musicians and composers. This collection consists of 10 linear feet (10 boxes) covering the years 1948 to 1996.
Frank E. Vandiver papers
The papers of Frank Everson Vandiver (1925-), former Professor of History, Acting-President, and Provost of Rice University consist chiefly of correspondence, manuscripts, and other material generated by Vandiver as a historian, writer, teacher, and lecturer at Rice University. General George Cullum Civil War Letter

Cullum to a close friend (‘My dear Colonel’) concerning Cullum’s recent promotion to the rank of brigadier general of volunteers with assignment to serve under General Henry Halleck; Cullum also reflects on army politics and inquires about family members.

This collection is comprised chiefly of George W. Frost's correspondence, created while Frost served as a Union naval officer during the U.S. Civil War, including his service aboard the U.S.S. Fort Donelson (1861-1865).

Helen Wong Hom World War II Chinese American scrapbook and printed materials
This collection includes a scrapbook created by Helen Wong Hom during her time in San Antonio during World War II, associated with the FAB-100 officers and friends. Helen Wong Hom appears to have been associated with the first group of the U.S. Foreign Affairs Bureau's group of 100 Chinese officers who later became known as the FAB-100. Many of these officers served as interpreters, translators, and trained others in aviation and radio mechanics.
