This material was the working papers of the Journal of geophysical research during the period when Prof. Alexander J. Dessler (Space Science Dept., Rice University) was associate editor and later co-editor (1964-1970). It includes correspondence between Dessler, other editors, referees and authors. A folder for each article accepted or rejected for publication was usually prepared and assigned a number; this internal organization has been preserved.
