The Dean of Engineering Records cover the years 1951 to 2011 for the Engineering School at Rice Univeristy in Houston, Texas. The records include the papers of several deans and staff. Topics include academics, research projects, faculty, and general administration.

The Alex J. Dessler Academic Papers chroncile primarily the Rice University career of the Professor Emeritus of Space Physics & Astronomy. The bulk of his papers are in the correspondence and publications series. Meeting notes and proposals are detailed, and the visuals show images and drawings used for various presentations and talks.
