The collection consists of correspondence, college materials, pamphlets and programs, materials related to the construction of Sewall residence and the Sewall's Japan trip. The dates for this collection range from 1847 to 1959 with the bulk of the material ranging from 1935 to 1948.

The collection contains audio-visual material created and edited by Douglas Killgore during his time at Rice University, both as a student in the 1970s and, decades later, as an independent filmmaker. The materials document people and events at Rice and the history of the university from 1911-2013.

The collection consists of one box containing primary school certificates, Bar Mitzvah materials, a letter of intent to play baseball for Rice University on a scholarship, news clippings, admissions paperwork, correspondence, Rice team schedules, an award, and two scrapbooks that documents Sheldon Kaufman's time spent as a youth at Adath Emeth primary school and his baseball career from Little League through his time at Rice University spanning the years 1956 to 2004.

The Jeanmarie Amend collection is a snapshot of the life of a student at Rice in the early 1980s. A prolific writer (both professionally and personally), Jeanmarie recorded several journals detailing her time at Rice. In addition to her school papers, the collection contains schoolbooks, news clippings, correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia--each contributing the the vibrant picture of Jeanmarie’s university days.
