Raymond Brochstein Papers
The collection consists of a variety of materials relating to Raymond Brochstein’s philanthropic gifts and service to Rice University, as well as a certificate of recognition in his career as an architect.
Rice Center for Community Design + Research records
The collection consists of both published and unpublished records of projects undertaken by the Rice Center for Community Design + Research, subsequently the Rice Center. It also includes records of two projects of the University of Louisville which served as precursors to much of the early research completed at the Rice Center.
Rice University architectural drawings, oversize manuscript material, maps and photographs
These records include architectural drawings, maps, posters, oversize manuscript materials, and photographs ranging in dates from 1840s-2010s. The majority of architectural drawings relate to Rice University. The collection also contains oversize material from other manuscript collections. Links to these finding aids are included.

Also included are course outlines, materials, rosters, and lecture notes of the Urban Design Program taught by O. Jack Mitchell (1969-1991), as well as the program history, and initial proposal. Rice University Cohen House records
Collection of blueprints, correspondence, financial records, photographs and more relating to the design, maintenance and furnishings of the Cohen House Faculty Club. Also includes samples of dishes and linens used in the original dining room as well as materials related to the Cohen family.
Rice University construction records
This collection consists of expense records, diagrams, photographs, newsclippings, and a small amount of correspondence.
Rice University Michael Heizer sculpture records
The collection consists of print and photographic materials related to the sculpture 45°, 90°, 180° by Michael Heizer located in the School of Engineering quadrangle on the campus of Rice University. The history of the work is covered from the selection and commissioning of the sculptor to the dedication of the completed work and the exhibition featuring Heizer that accompanied this event.
Rice University Rice Design Alliance Records
The Rice Design Alliance, established in 1973, is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to increasing greater public awareness of architecture, design and the environment. These materials represent RDA lectures, seminars, symposiums, exhibits and tours, which have involved the general public in issues related to the design of public spaces, parks, office buildings, retail centers and residential neighborhoods.
