Sir James Hawkins Whitshed Minute book and Sketchbook
This collection consists of a sketchbook and a minute book, both authored by Sir James Hawkins Whitshed, an officer in the British Navy. The sketchbook contains numerous depictions of naval ships and a self-caricature of Whitshed himself. The minute book contains a careful list of letters received and sent by Whitshed, plus a summary of the day’s events during the years 1821-1822.

South Main Alliance records
Founded in March 1976 by business, institutional and civic leaders, the South Main Center Association is a private, non-profit community and economic development organization which represents the residential, commercial and institutional interests of the approximately 12.5 square mile South Main area located within the inner loop. In 2005, the South Main Center Association (SMCA) was renamed the South Main Alliance. These records reflect the daily business of the organization.

Thomas E. Daley papers
The Daley Papers include personal documents from Daley's high school and Rice University years, a play script and original artwork. There are also photographs of Rice and of World War II infantry and intelligence units, along with some newspaper clippings and correspondence from 1946 and 1963.
