Mary J. Bobo Confederate Scrapbook

Abstract

The Civil War and Confederate scrapbook of Mrs. Mary J. Bobo contains pasted clippings from the Nashville (Tenn.) Banner on some of the history and battles of the U.S. Civil War dating from 1902-1907. Principally, the battles at Murphreesboro and Chickamauga, Tenn. are noted.

Mathurin Guerin Sermons

Abstract

Sermons written by Mathurin Guerin, with prayers to be delivered before and after the sermons. There are nine sermons handwritten into a bound volume. The Reverend Mr. Henry Heywood, who died in October 1755, preached the first six in Charleston, South Carolina.

Max Herzog World War II Memorabilia collection

Abstract The collection, spanning 1935-1947, consists of a photo album recording Max Herzog's service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Also included are a telegram informing him of his son's birth in the U.S. and photographs of the young child sent to Max by his wife.
