Biographical / Historical

Luis Q. Lacar was active with Filipino-American heritage groups nationally in the United States and in the Philippines. He eraned his PhD. in Sociology at Western Michigan University in 1974, and taught at Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City, Philippines. He also served as Director for the Coordination Center for Research and Development, Mindanano State University, Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City, 1982-1988. His teaching subjects includedsocioloigy, statistics, medical sociology, race and ethnic relations, and population.
