Biographical / Historical

Mary Webb (1881-1927) was an English Romanic novelist who authored novels including The Golden Arrow (1916) and Precious Bane (1924). Most of her works were set in the Shropshire countryside where she grew up, and many of her characters were based on people that she knew there.
