Natural gas research materials of Chris Castaneda
The collection consists of research materials collected for the purpose of writing historical texts about the natural gas industry. Included are articles about people and companies active in the industry, as well as published works and videos.
Teas Nursery Company records
The collection consists of Teas Nursery administrative and financial records, business correspondence, legal files, and advertising and marketing examples. In addition, Teas family records are included.
Roy M. Huffington Oil Company Records
This collection documents the business history of the Roy M. Huffington, Inc., also known as Huffco. There are photos, correspondence files, videos, as well as awards and speeches that Roy M. Huffington gave while he served as CEO and president of the company.
Gulf Oil Research and Development Company Records
The collection consists of material representing the work of Abraham J. Teplitz, research scientist-engineer at Gulf Oil Research and Development Company, from 1926 through 1966. It includes technical reports either authored or jointly authored by Teplitz, a specialist in the technology of oil well drilling. Also included are two notebooks related to patents and a folder of memorabilia and one of photographs.
Early Rice Institute records
Rice University Early Land Deeds, Contracts and Related Records
The collection contains records and printed material on the early land holdings and dealings of William Marsh Rice and the Rice Institute in 45 Texas counties and 4 Louisiana parishes. The collection also contains records and printed material concerning early Rice Institute campus construction, legal matters (including judicial settlements and statements), institutional housekeeping (including receipts and invoices from 1891-1907), and campus area property and construction.
DeLange Conference Collection
This collection is composed of papers and media relating to the DeLange Conferences held at Rice University. It includes correspondence, marketing materials, conference materials, reports, photographs, and electronic media that document the preparation leading up to the conferences and the activities during conferences.
Rice University Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum records
This collection consists of materials related to the Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum on the campus of Rice University. Included are records of the inaugural plantings in 1999, news clips, meeting minutes, correspondence, planning information, and oral interviews on videotape, conducted by the Conservation History Association of Texas for the Texas Legacy Project, 2004. Also included is Charles Tapley’s presentation copy of Texas Wild Flowers by Eliza Johnston.

Also included are papers from Lane's time in the White House working as the director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
