This collection documents the business history of the Roy M. Huffington, Inc., also known as Huffco. There are photos, correspondence files, videos, as well as awards and speeches that Roy M. Huffington gave while he served as CEO and president of the company.

The collection consists of material representing the work of Abraham J. Teplitz, research scientist-engineer at Gulf Oil Research and Development Company, from 1926 through 1966. It includes technical reports either authored or jointly authored by Teplitz, a specialist in the technology of oil well drilling. Also included are two notebooks related to patents and a folder of memorabilia and one of photographs.

The collection contains records and printed material on the early land holdings and dealings of William Marsh Rice and the Rice Institute in 45 Texas counties and 4 Louisiana parishes. The collection also contains records and printed material concerning early Rice Institute campus construction, legal matters (including judicial settlements and statements), institutional housekeeping (including receipts and invoices from 1891-1907), and campus area property and construction.

This collection consists of materials related to the Lynn R. Lowrey Arboretum on the campus of Rice University. Included are records of the inaugural plantings in 1999, news clips, meeting minutes, correspondence, planning information, and oral interviews on videotape, conducted by the Conservation History Association of Texas for the Texas Legacy Project, 2004. Also included is Charles Tapley’s presentation copy of Texas Wild Flowers by Eliza Johnston.

Ecology and Environmental Biology records, including, but not limited to, Annual Reports, Budget Reports, Space Surveys, Faculty and Graduate Recruitment files, Correspondence and Memos. Also includes files and Annual Reports from the last decade of the Biology Department. Faculty members represented include, but are not limited to, Kathleen Matthews, Paul A. Harcombe, Ronald Sass, Stephen Subtelny, and Charles Philpott.

The Arthur Jones Architectural Records contain information and pictures of projects Jones was involved with in his career with Houston-based Lloyd and Morgan, Lloyd, Jones, and Brewer, and Jones and Fillpot.

Business ledgers of the Spears Dairy and its various plants and stores in Texas.

The collection consists of correspondence, photographs, personal records, genealogy books, memorabilia, audio and visual materials, and ephemera collected by Nancy Cravens Chamberlain and representing the lives of her grandfather, Joseph Stephen Cullinan; her parents, Mary Cullinan and James R. Cravens; and herself and her siblings.

This collection contains audio/visual materials, publications, and photographs from the years 1920's-2011 related to El Paso Corporation. The El Paso Corporation system included Coastal Corporation, Colorado Interstate Gas, El Paso Natural Gas, Southern Natural Gas, Tennessee Gas Pipeline, and Ruby Pipeline.

The M.T. Jones Lumber Co. Records & Business Ledgers, 1890-1920, consist of business records, correspondence, letterpress books, invoices, orders, shipping records, and ledgers for the daily operations and administration of the lumber company for Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado.
