The Charles W. Duncan, Jr. business papers include correspondence, speeches and writings, memoranda, minutes, reports, studies, printed matter, photographs, memorabilia, newsclippings, and bound volumes. A 1947 graduate of Rice Institute, Duncan served under President Carter as Deptury Secretary of Defense and Secretary of Energy. He served as president of Coca-Cola, Co. and on the board of trustees of Rice University.

Animal prints theft collection
This collection consists of circa 700 color prints stolen from the journals (the journal of the British Ornithologists’ Union) and Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London, owned by the Fondren Library. The prints date from 1859-1915 and feature birds, bird eggs, and other animals. Theft correspondence and research dates from 1980-2004 and represents the Fondren Library’s efforts to cooperate with and assist in the Blumberg investigation.

Correspondence and memorabilia from Rice Institute student Anah Marie Leland, future wife of William McIver Streetman, regarding student life, academics and athletics first at Houston’s Central High School 1915-1918, and following at Rice Institute, 1918-1922. Letters continue to 1953.
