Fred Terry Rogers papers
The Fred Terry Rogers papers are a record of Fred and Marguerite Rogers' distinguished careers in academia and physics from 1931 to 1956 and consists primarily of correspondence, research and lecture notes and published works. Subjects include Beta-particle decay, the fractureof metals, the U.S. Naval Ordinance Test Station, convection currents in porous media, ballistics penetration and university research and course work.

President E. O. Lovett - Personal Papers
The personal papers of Edgar Odell Lovett, first President of Rice Institute, span almost his entire life. The collection has material about his education at UVA and in Europe, his career at Princeton, his hiring by the Board of Trustees of the Rice Institute, and extensive personal correspondence with friends and societies he was involved with throughout his life. The collection also includes reprints of articles and speeches written by Lovett throughout his life.

Joseph I. Davies papers
The Davies papers include papers, lecture notes, glass slides, and transparencies produced by Joseph I. Davies, who came to Rice Institute (later Rice University) in 1914 with Julian Huxley as his lab assistant, later received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Rice, and from 1929 to 1966 served as a member of the Rice faculty. The glass slides and transparencies taken by Davies include scenes of the early development of the Rice campus as well as later campus scenes and individuals.
