The Chandler Davidson Academic papers collection includes course materials, selected student papers, information on minorities at Rice, Athletic Committee materials, and other publications, clippings, letters, and materials relating to Rice received from Research Professor and Tsanoff Chair of Public Affairs Emeritus Davidson.

The Herbert Allen papers include personal holdings, including biographical information, honors and awards, and personal correspondence. In addition papers dealing with his professional activities and patents are included, as are those dealing with his involvement with Rice University. Allen was an inventor and mechanical engineer who graduated from Rice Institute in 1929 where he later served on the Board of Governors and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The papers of Jake Hess reflect his football, basketball, and tennis careers, both before and after his days as a student and star athlete at Rice Institute.

This collection contains track memorabilia of Paul Hurshel Sanders. Included are several medals, trophies, track shoes, and scrapbooks of newspaper clippings.

This collection contains former Athletic Director Bobby May's papers, including correspondence, paperwork, and records, from the years 1987 to 2005. It also contains information from his secretary, Barbara Tolar, and information pertaining to the NCAA, the WAC, Title IX, Endowments, Marketing, the Wingenroth Lawsuit, and Reckling Park.

This collection contains costumes worn at Archi-Arts Ball, Freshmen beanies, Rice cheerleading uniforms, athletic sweaters, uniforms, club and program t-shirts, from various campus-wide events.

The collection consists of camera tapes and their logs, as well as related papers documenting Rice University Baseball, Women’s basketball, and Football games from the years 2003-2004, as well as interviews and footage featuring players from the teams.

The Thomas Haskell academic papers include Athletic Committee and Honor Council materials, course materials, academic conference materials, and other publications and manuscripts relating to the historical economics of slavery.
