Abstract This collection comprises the corporate and property records of Jesse H. Jones, as well as research materials for Unprecedented Power by Steven Fenberg. Between 1992 and 1995, Mr. Fenberg and architectural historian Barrie Scardino processed and organized the collection at the behest of Houston Endowment. Judge Harris Masterson’s papers relate almost exclusively to his legal practice and real estate dealings after he moved from Brazoria County, Texas, to Houston, dating from 1860-1942, bulk 1880-1920.

Research materials in this collection include a list of burials at Olivewood Cemetery, burial maps, and photographs of the tombstone of Richard Allen. The materials date from 2008, when Louis Aulbach was actively volunteering with the cemetery.

This company was owned by William Marsh Rice and associated with Rice Institute after Mr. Rice's death.

The Ricker Papers include the notes and papers related to physicist Norman Hurd Ricker's work in industrial research and in his academic career. The 25 boxes contain Ricker's autobiography, published papers, photographs depicting his experience at Rice University and many of his field expeditions, as well as notes, calculations, and graphs in various media, used in his research and writing.
