Fondren Library Non-Book Special Materials Teaching Collection
Objects in this collection are not in traditional book formats, and may be in various media, including paper, metal, wood, and others. They are used for teaching and exhibit purposes.
Livres d'artistes collection
The collection contains documentation of the Livres d'artistes books acquired for the Fondren Library; information on the artists who created the books; administrative records; and information on presentations/class instruction made about the collection.
Printed Works Teaching Collection
Printed works such as posters, comics, and books collected and purchased in support of Rice University's instruction in the areas of book arts and printng arts. Techniques include woodcuts, screenprints, letterpress printing, hand illustration, and more. This collection is developed by Fondren Library Collection Development Librarians, Special Collections Librarians, and campus partners especially in the Departments of Art and Art History.
