John Singleton Mosby U.S. Civil War scrapbook
The collection consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings by and about J.S. Mosby, a Confederate soldier, that detail his adventures in the Confederate cavalry. Also included are unfavorable clippings from local newspapers on the occasion of his visit to New England in 1886.

John William Hutcheson papers
The John W. Hutcheson papers include correspondence to and from Texas attorney and soldier Hutcheson before and during the U.S. Civil War, a text of a speech on immigration (1852), documents relating to the Masonic Order, a license to practice law in Texas, and several newspaper issues (1862, 1863, 1898, 1903) describing Hutcheson's life and his military career with the 4th Texas Regiment.

The Kathryn Morrow African American Research Collection contains research and essays from Morrow’s years in graduate school, as well as a powerpoint presentation on a CD, and census documents, registration lists, and collection guides focused on African Americans in Texas in the 1860-1880s.
Kaufman family papers
The collection includes certificates, correspondence, family photos, publications, a Bellaire High School commencement program, speeches, a scrapbook, an oral history, and memorabilia from the 1960 Democratic National Convention that document the activities of Stephen Kaufman, primarily, and to a lesser extent his wife, Ann, and both of their families.
Kenneth Clark and Julian Huxley Correspondence
Correspondence between biologist Julian Huxley to art historian Kenneth Clark, including some letters between their wives Juliette Huxley and Jane Clark, regarding art, artists, financing films of animals, Clark’s television series, both Clark’s and Huxley’s books, the Zoological Society of London, British Candidates for the Nobel Prize, WWII government projects, and personal matters. Huxley was Assistant Professor of Biology at Rice Institute (1913-1916).

Libby Prison Inmate Letter
Letter written during the Civil War by an anonymous Union Army prisoner- of-war, dated December18, 1864, and addressed from Libby Prison in Richmond, Virginia, to United States Senator William Wright of New Jersey, describing his worsening health while held in close confinement in the prison as hostage for a Confederate officer imprisoned in West Virginia, and urging the senator to intercede on his behalf to secure his exchange and release.
Louis Aulbach Olivewood Cemetery research collection
