Walter W. and Ella F. Fondren Papers, 1838-1973
The Fondren Papers provide a record of the Fondren family's acquisition and dispersal of money in Houston and across Texas during the first three-quarters of this century and offers additional information on the financial workings of several well-known institutions and corporations. Formats include correspondence and financial documents.
Weber-Staub-Briscoe architectural ironwork collection
This collection includes pattern boards (design molds) and metal castings of architectural details such as stair rails, fencing, and other metalwork ornaments manufactured by Weber Iron & Wire Company from the 1930's to the 1990's. Some were designed by architects John F. Staub and Birdsall P. Briscoe. The collection also includes photographs, architectural drawings, reference books, and tools used in the manufacturing process, along with invoices from the company from 1933 to 1987.

The collection consists of photographic research materials on Houston, TX, Rice University, and various urban scenes, architectural details, and photographic techniques. It was created by William Lukes in collaboration with Paul Hester during the years 1969 through 1974, when Lukes was an architectural student at Rice University.
