Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Mrs. Mary J. Bobo Confederate Scrapbook contains pasted newspaper clippings on some of the history and battles of the U.S. Civil War, clippings primarily from the Nashville (Tenn.) Banner. Principally, the battles at Murphreesboro and Chickamauga are noted. The scrapbook also has death notices of ordinary Civil War soldiers, particularly those from Tennessee, as well as more famous Confederates like Colonel William Campbell Preston Breckinridge.
