Permission to publish the Texas Mutual Benefit Association scam invoice must be obtained by the Woodson Research Center.

This advance fee scam invoice requests $2 for the price of five tickets, one of which is a winner for the potential mark. According to Southern Methodist Libraries, which has a similar "invoice," "American Agriculturist (June, 1875, page 211) lists this company's practice of distributing tickets as a scam."
