Permission to publish from the John Thomas Patillo collection must be obtained from the Woodson Research Center, Fondren Library, Rice University.

Biographical / Historical

John Thomas Patillo (July 23, 1921 - August 18, 2002) attended Rice Institute, graduating in 1943 with a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and 1947 with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. Between those degrees, he served in World War II as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was discharged as a Captain. He went on work at Procter and Gamble Manufacturing Company in Dallas for 35 years.
