Items include 50 scans of photographs and backstage passes, 190 items of video and audio pertaining to Anderson Fair and related folk music acts.

This collection consists of physical and digitized audio and video, as well as digitized images of backstage passes and house concerts.

Permission to publish from the James Gilmer collection must be obtained from the copyright owners.

Biographical / Historical

James Gilmer became a percussionist in the 1970s. He became a regular at Anderson Fair Retail Restaurant, playing for artists such as: Eric Taylor, Lyle Lovett, Nanci Griffith, and many more. He performed with Lyle Lovett in the studio and toured with him for around four decades. He also did studio work with other musicans. He can be heard on Paul Simon's "Graceland."
