Biographical / Historical
Like many major cities across the United States, Houston's LGBTQ community suffered during the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 1990s.
Some of the materials in this collection includes those from the KS/AIDS Foundation Houston, which later changed its name to AIDS Foundation Houston. Their work worked to help those living with the disease, as well as reduce the stigma around it.
