Original letters, pamphlets, tabloids, printed materials, books, videos, maps, and photographs documenting the Texas city of Sugar Land during the 19th century and 20th century, including the creation and development of the Imperial Sugar company.

Land deeds and agreements relating to the tract of land in Harris County granted to John Reinermann, dating from 1857-1888.

Oral history interviews in audio and transcript format, including interview consent forms filed with the interviews. The primary subject matter is the experience of at least 100 long term survivors, physicians, activists, religious and political leaders and others impacted by HIV / AIDS epidemic in Houston, Harris County and Southeast Texas.

Family correspondence, scrapbooks, and clippings of the Baker Family, from Captain James A. Baker (appointed Chairman of the Board, Rice Institute, 1891) through attorney James A. Baker, III (Rice Board of Trustees, Trustee Emeretus, 1993 - present). A small portion of the materials relate to the Baker, Botts, Garwood & Parker law firm (later known as Baker Botts law firm).

A certificate of limited partnership for the purpose of setting up firm of "R.J. French" to purchase and sell goods from July 1, 1852 to July 1, 1857. The agreement was between general partner Richard J. French and special partners William M. Rice and Ebenezer B. Nichols.

Legal documents and correspondence related to the Jose de Escandon expedition of the Gulf Coast (1765-1766) and the establishment of missions in the Seno Mexicano, and U.S. Civil War and Reconstruction documents, as well as other documents related to Texas and American history.

This collection contains the teaching resources and writings of renowned teacher, researcher, playwright, and actress Naomi Carrier, whose advocacy for African-American voices in history has had a profound effect on educational representation in Texas.

The Noel Parrish Texas Aviation Hall of Fame 2018 awards collection offers a snapshot of the event honoring, among others, Noel Parrish for being inducted into the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame for his contributions overseeing the Tuskegee airmen at Maxwell Field.

This is a collection of oral history interviews conducted by the Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation, featuring audio recordings and transcripts of interviews with Vietnamese Americans living in and near Houston, Texas.
