22. Rice University faculty and administrative records

This collection consists of materials collected by former Masters of Brown College, Rice University.

This collection contains correspondence and lecture notes from faculty of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Records of Dr. David Schneider's career at Rice University dealing with different aspects of Schneider’s career and works. These subseries include letters, e-mails, papers, department data, and evaluations involving Schneider and other faculty within the Psychology Department.

Records and reports of the committees and people who took part in the revision of Rice University's Honor Code over the years.

The collection consists of 284 8” by 10” black and white photographs of special occasions at Rice Institute, chiefly baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies. The photographs were collected by Captain James A. Baker and were presented in May 1960 to the Rice Institute Library in memory of Captain and Mrs. Baker by the Baker family.

These records mainly include information on the construction of the Ley Student Center, renovations of the Rice Memorial Center, and art exhibits.

This collection currently holds the Academic Memoirs Project, created by the Association of Retired Rice University Faculty, with one memoir created in 2020 by David McStravick, Mechanical Engineering.

Archival materials from the office of Dr. Burrus after his death in 2021. Includes laptop computer and paper files spanning his career in electrical engineering.

This collection mainly consists of the research materials for the "History of Biosciences" written by Kathleen Matthews.

This collection contains Rice-related correspondence to Anne Marie Smith, photographs, ephemera, and a digitized poster.
