The collection consists of Teas Nursery administrative and financial records, business correspondence, legal files, and advertising and marketing examples. In addition, Teas family records are included.

Biographical / Historical
The African Violet Study Group of Houston was organized in November, 1970, and met at Teas Nursery in Bellaire, Texas, once a month.They were affiliated with the African Violet Society of America, the Lone Star African Violet Council, and the Dixie African Violet Society. They published a yearbook, held an annual sale, invited speakers for various programs throughout the year and conducted projects in the community.
