Scope and Contents note
The Correspondence series comprises the general correspondence to and from the various organizations and associations with which Margrave was involved, as well as letters of recommendation for Margrave’s former students, and letters to and from specific individuals, businesses, and organizations such as the American Chemical Society, Houston attorneys Baker & Botts, and the General Electric Corporation.
Within the Gulf Universities and Research Consortium (GURC) series are the articles of incorporation and bylaws; board of directors and executive committee agendas, minutes, and correspondence; proposals; reports; and general correspondence.
Researchers are also encouraged to look in Series IX: Research Group (Boxes 29 and 30) and Series XI: Rice, General Correspondence (Boxes 36 and 37) for other letters of recommendation.
