Scope and Contents
This collection consists of notes on and drafts of Julian Huxley’s “Morphism and Evolution” as well as research materials and correspondence related to his work. The first folder includes several typed drafts of the paper interspersed with handwritten notes. The second folder includes research materials in the form of offprints. The third folder contains correspondence in chronological order, dated mostly in 1955. Correspondents include fellow biologists and scientists Ernst Mayr, J.H. Burnett, Jens Clausen, J.W. Gregor, Paul Freeman, F.S. Russell, P.A. Buxton, William Rowan, Ian Aird, B.P. Uvarov, Noel Hynes, A.S. Sturtevant, H. Gruneberg, Dorothy Jackson, and Kennedy McWhirter.
