Scope and Contents
The collection consists of letters written to James Korges in his capacity as editor of "Critique: Studies in Modern Fiction" by such literary figures as Erskine Caldwell, Dickey, Caroline Gordon, William Goyen, Frederick Manfred, Brian Moore, Anais Nin, Joyce Carol Oates, Ramsey, Tate, and Yvor Winters. Also included are a 1926 Theodore Dreiser letter and a letter written in 1953 by Sean O'Casey to Korges, then a senior at Rice University and editor of the student newspaper, "The Thresher".
