Round metal bowl and lid on wood ball feet, approx. 7.5" diameter x 5" tall, containing a music box that is functional. The bowl holds a glass ashtray. The lid has a metal owl figurine with graduation cap affixed to the top. The metal is very thin and light, possibly aluminum, and is finished in various shades of greenish blue, with gray stripes and stippling. The bottom appears to be brass. There are no markings indicating manufacturer or date. There is no information regarding original owner or donor. The item is loose in the box.
