General
Bronze Association of Rice Alumni Distinguished Service Award. This item is described by an accompanying note, dated June 14, 1991, as a "duplicate of gold medal that was given to James Baker." Mr. Baker was the Commencement Speaker at Rice University's 1991 graduation ceremony. The medal's front is in relief with an image depicting Lovett Hall and perimeter text "Association of Rice Alumni, For Distinguished Service." The back is featureless. According to a handwritten note included with this item, it was sent to Woodson by someone named Jackie. The item is located within a box identified with "Duplicate of gold medal given to James Baker when he spoke at 1991 Commencement."
