This item is a box containing an assortment of medals won for Track & Field events by Nelson Greer, class of 1929. Also included is one photograph (WRC 05761) and a written inventory of all included medals. There are 31 medals in total for various track events. They are imperfectly sorted by metal type and seperated by paper dividers, so as to minimize dissimilar metals reactions. The medals generally are engraved on the back with the event for which it was awarded, usually the year date in which it was won, and, in at least one case, the name "J.N. Greer." Most of the medals still have their ribbons attached, though the ribbons are almost all in various stages of disentegration. Donated by Nelson Greer. Items are located within a box identified with "Track Medals donated by Nelson Greer B.A. 2929."
