The medallion's front is in relief showing the Rice Institute academic shield with text around the perimeter reading "The Rice Institute Service Award In Momory of Dean Hugh Scott Cameron." The back of the medallion has 3 protrusions and the maker's stamp, but is otherwise featureless. This award is given by the Student Association to a student who has rendered distinguished service to the student body. There is no information regarding original owner or donor. The item is located in its original brown leather presentation box.
