Silver souvenir spoon commemorating the Texas Centennial (1836 - 1936), featuring Rice Institute. The spoon bowl is embossed with an image of Lovett Hall and the words "Rice Institute Houston, Tex." The finial front has an image of a cowboy and the words "Texas Centennial Exposition 1836 - 1936." The finial back is embosed with an image of the Alamo. The handle, front and backed is embossed with a variety of Texas motifs. There is no information regarding original owner or donor. This item is located within an envelope identified with "Silver souvenir spoon featuring Rice Institute. Texas Centennial 1836-1936."
