General

Silver (tarnished) belt buckle manufactured by the Hickok Manufacturing Company. The buckle is a small, verticall-oriented rectangle with an engraving of a "book" cover and a diagonal banner with the word "Rice" on it. The back is engraved with the Hickok maker's marks. The style of the design and text is strongly suggestive of the early 1900's, so perhaps 1916 - 1920? There is no information regarding original owner or donor. Located in an envelope identified with "Rice Belt Buckle, silver, made by the Hickok Manufacturing Company."
