Metal Rice belt buckle, silver-colored, rectangular with raised border, word "Rice", spread-winged owl and triangular graphics on blue background. On the back, 2 block letter "M"s have been scratched in near the bottom, and the name "Mattox" near the top. The back is stamped with "Robbins Co. Attleboro", which was a jeweler in Massachussetts that made medallions and other items like belt buckles, and operated under that name from 1912 to 2007. The style could indicate a 1940's or 1950's ventage for this item. There is no information regarding original owner or donor.
