General
Owl pendant. A small, 3-d standing owl that is aged white with dark blue highlights and faceted glass eyes. The material is uncertain, but could be anything from bakelite to ivory or bone to more modern plastic. The item appears to be made of 2 halves (front and back) joined together, and has the appearance of being quite old. This item has nothing to do with Rice University in that it is not a recognized logo, so it is probably just a Rice alumnus' jewelry of some kind. There is no information regarding original owner, donor or date, and no mention found in previous inventories of this collection. Item is found within a box identified with "Owl Pendant (not Rice related)."
