General

14k gold pendant of the ca. 1943-1952 "Walking Owl" athletic logo. This depicts an owl wearing what looks like a sailor's cap and wearing a sweater with the letter "R" on the front. Pendant is 2-dimensional but lightly in relief. Though the logo hails from the 1940's-50's, the pendant and it's box and price tag ($72.95) look considerably newer than that. There is no information regarding original owner, donor or date. Item is located in a gray felt jewelry box.
