Boxes 1-25, 27-30, 32, 35-37, 39, 43, 44, 46-52, 54, 56-58, 60-62, 64, 67-128, as well as all unboxed and oversize items are stored onsite mostly in the vault at the Woodson Research Center.

Boxes 26, 31, 33, 34, 38, 40-42, 45, 53, 55, 59, 63, 65, and 66 stored offsite at the Library Service Center and require 24-hour notice for retrieval. Please contact the Woodson Research Center at 713-348-2586 or woodson@rice.edu for more information.

Gold Elgin Natl. Watch Co. pocket watch presented to James M. Rockwell in 1892 by the M. T. Jones Lumber Co. fo efficient service. J. M. Rockwell and his wife, Sarah Wade Rockwell, established the Rockwell Fund in 1931, which in turn, established the Rockwell Lecture Series at Rice University in 1938. This item was donated to "The Institute" (so, pre-1960) by Mr. James W. Rockwell. Located within a box that has the item's description written on top.
