Fifty years ago, a young Dale Illig joined the Peace Corps to help drill water wells in the drought-stricken villages of eastern Uttar Pradesh, India. During the three and a half years he spent there, he took hundreds of photographs and made a 16 mm film, “A Tubewell for Kapura Village.” (description from UT Austin website)
