Renard histoire burlesque [Kirchmeyer 23, De Lerma R7]
Scope and Contents
Fine calligraphic manuscript piano-vocal score, possibly in the hand of Stravinsky's wife Catherine or another person close to him. With titling in Stravinsky's hand.
Oblong octavo. Marbled boards. 147 pp.
With occasional corrections and annotations to both text and music in pencil and ink, some of which appear to be in the composer's hand.
Catherine Stravinsky was a frequent copyist of Igor Stravinsky's works; her musical handwriting is somewhat similar in appearance to that of her husband's.
