San Jacinto High School Materials, 1949

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 2

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Jules H. Borger collection contains materials from 1910 to 2015 including bulletins, correspondence, postcards, photographs, programs, magazines, and news-clippings. Many papers are related to different aspects of the Houston Jewish Community, such as schools (Johnston Jr. High, San Jacinto High School, and Bellaire High School), Synagogues (United Orthodox Synagogues, Congregation Beth Yeshurun, and Congregation Emanu El), and events (piano recitals, weddings, graduations, and confirmations). The collection also has several oversize photographs of graduation classes stored in map drawers. The materials are in good condition, and would be ideal for researchers interested in the Houston Jewish community, particularly institutions such as schools, the United Orthodox Synagogues, and Congregation Beth Yeshurun.
