This company began as a tech startup in the late 1960's and was founded by four Rice University graduates, whose last names were combined to make the company name: Gene Richeson, Ken Oshman, Robert Maxfield and Walter Loewenstern, Jr. Item has no date marking, but date is inferred from similar item in the same box that bears a tag indicating the date of manufacture as June 1988. Item is loose in the box.
